RoboNews June 8th 2016

Hey you Schmucks Kioller here and I want to take a minute to go over the latest pieces of news and some changes to loot boxes released by freejam on June 8th 2016.

First off there has been a patch to change the way the game determines which loot box you will recieve. Previously if you did extremly well in the game, but your team lost, you would be limited to how good of a crate you would recieve. The changes ensure that the loot crate you recieve will always be based off your scoreboard position. It is worth noting that the scores of the winning team are still doubled at the end of the match, and you will also be limited to bronze crates if you die in elimination mode to stop people from rushing the enemy and dying just to get a crate, leaving their team helpless. Healing recieved a buff to score on friday and issues with recieving wrong crates has been fixed in this patch if that was affecting you.

Along with this change to loot boxes came the latest piece of Robonews!

The feature article tells of a future weapon called the Ion Destabilizer. This new weapon seems to be a shotgun that is smaller and mounts similur to plasma and laser. So if you didnt think there were enough shotguns, freejam has you covered, more on the way. The upside to this piece of news is the possibility of seeing smaller version of Lock On Missile or even Flak in the future, or in the least, more smaller weapons instead of large ones.

The Smart Weapon Upgrade which was one of the most requested quality of life issues taken from the community poll, seems to be working its way into production. While the guns still suffer the fire rate loss of each weapon that does not fire, the saving of energy for the shots that matter most will be essential on the battlefield.

Long awaited changes are coming to the 25 garage bay limit. Rumors have it the limit may be increased to 100 as well as the ability to re-order the bays and set strafing commands indepently for each bay.

The final piece of news it the HYPEING up of straffing hover and thrusters! Which will allow for many more builds and aid in the flight of many bots.

I hope you guys enjoyed this news release as there are some exciting things coming around the corner, Make sure to give the video a like if you want more videos going over RoboNews Releases!

Istrolid First Look

Hey you schmucks welcome to a quick look at a cool free to play game on steam called Istrolid. The game is about building your own fleet of space ships fitted with the best guns and propulsion for the speed or size your looking for. Anything from a swarm of small fighters to a large battleship, the choice is yours.

The game is currently has 3 game modes in its beta form. Multiplayer, Challanges and Campaign. The multiplayers allows you to battle your fleets against others. Challenges allows you to choose from a list of missions to beat in any order you wish. Campaign mode sets you though the Universe one star at a time, unlocking new technology after deafeating each challange. You can often decide with path to take through the stars allowing you to go around harder missions, or even cut straight through toward the bosses and cool weapons.

There is a design mode where you can customize your crafts using everything available in the game, preparing you for your challanges or multiplayers battles. The different types of blocks are broken down into 4 tabs in the top left. There are a few different levels of armor with different wieghts to each as well as unique shapes, even shields can be unlocked giving extra defense. Every part has its pro's and con's since the more you put on the slower you will be. You also have to consider that you need reactors to power the thrusters and guns for extrended periods of time. You can even set up support ships and decoy drones to aid you in the battles ahead.   You can save up to 10 ships on your lineup and these can be swapped in and out as well as around in the Fleet Screen.

I have had a ton of fun playing the campaign mode unlocking lots of weapons varying from Lasers, torpedos, even a gun to pull your enemys closer to you! If you are in Campaign mode it will take time to fill out all the options available to you in Design mode.

I hope you guys have a blast exploring Istrolid like I did,  its free to play on steam. Dont forget to like this video and were out!
